Digboi Mahila Mahavidyalaya celebrated the 150th Anniversary of “Vande Mataram” on 7 November 2025 with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervour. The programme commenced at 10:00 a.m. with a brief introduction highlighting the historical significance of the National Song “Vande Mataram,” composed by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay in 1875. At 10:00 a.m., a mass singing of the National Song was organised on the college premises, in which all the teachers and students participated with great enthusiasm and a deep sense of patriotism. At 10:30 a.m., the students and staff members collectively viewed the live telecast of the Honourable Prime Minister’s address on the occasion of the 150th Anniversary of “Vande Mataram.” The programme was streamed through webcasting facilities arranged at the college. The celebration served as a meaningful occasion to remember the historical and cultural significance of “Vande Mataram” and to foster a spirit of patriotism, national unity, and pride among the students and members of the college community.
