Introduction The NSS Unit of Digboi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), observed Seouj Saptah 2025 under the inspiring theme “Ek Ped Maa ke Naam.” The programme emphasized environmental sustainability and the symbolic act of planting trees in honor of mothers, highlighting the bond between nurturing life and nurturing nature. Objectives - To promote environmental awareness and responsibility among students and faculty. - To encourage tree plantation as a sustainable practice. - To strengthen the emotional and cultural connection between nature and humanity. - To involve the academic community in eco-friendly initiatives. Programme Highlights - Tree Plantation Drive: Students and faculty planted saplings across the campus and nearby areas. - Awareness Session: Volunteers spoke about the importance of afforestation and its role in combating climate change. - Community Engagement: The symbolic dedication of each tree to mothers created a strong emotional resonance among participants. - Documentation: The event was recorded and photographed for institutional archives and future awareness campaigns.
